How Harrison is doing

Things have been a lot more quiet after Harrison’s second seizure, thanking all of you who cared and prayed for him and my family. Although its been quite a few weeks since it occurred, I would like to share an update on how he is doing.

So after staying at the hospital for an additional 2 days, he was discharged with a prescription of a new medication that so far seems to work for him. A week after we went to see Harrison’s pediatrician and we were told that Harrison wouldn’t be functioning at his normal until a few weeks more. He needed some personal time to fully recover mentally and physically. The seizure was a shock and definitely affected Harrison’s energy levels and alertness.

Now it’s been a few weeks, Harrison is back to his active and busy life at Youth Connections, loud talking, and fast walking. It does reassure me that he is a lot better now. I am always thanking God that is he ok. Walking with him is a huge workout because he doesn’t just walk, he literally speed walks. Not only does he take large strides, his stamina is crazy, but I enjoy exercising with him.

The other day we went to the night market together. I think he enjoyed the time together, especially being independant and taking transit together, walking through the different vendors, and even enjoying his first rotato. It was a fun evening, and we definitely bonded as bro and sis. I look forward to spending more time with him in the last few weeks of our summer break.
